Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Editor/Data Manager to join our team at CAVAS.

CAVAS is a production company and blossoming creative agency based in New York City.
Our work ranges from interview and product shoots to music videos and documentaries.

We are searching for someone who is willing to learn and looking to grow as part of a team.
Ideal candidates will ideally have previous experience with editing and post-production in a professional role, but we are open to training and working with the right person, regardless of experience.

Please note, position is mostly remote save for productions that require in-person editor and productions outside of NYC (travel, transportation, lodgings and meals covered).

Role and Responsibilities:

- Data Management and Post-Production:
Offload and organize footage and media.
Prep Footage.
Process Transcripts.
Maintain Hard-drives and database.
Edit raw footage into polished videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms.
Experience working on DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
Experience with Adobe light-room, After Effects, and Photo Shop a plus but not required.

- Social Media Content:
Help create engaging content, capture and edit short-form content for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

- Collaboration:
Be open to feedback.
Contribute your own creative ideas.

-Availability and Travel:
Flexibility with schedule is highly desirable.
Excellent and prompt communication by email and in person
Travel with production team to specific events.

-Compensation:
Compensation ranges from hourly rate to day rate, and will be negotiated on a per-project basis.
