Three adult children and their partners return annually to the family nest for a Thanksgiving feast, only to discover over time that even as the world undergoes dramatic change, blood is thicker than gravy. The grown siblings arrive at their father's house for the holidays, horrified upon arrival to see the changes his new wife has wrought on the family home since her recent wedding to their wealthy, widowed father. As the annual feast proceeds, familial dysfunction gives rise to a series of close encounters as each of the family members in turn displays an interest in things that are clearly off the table. While that first holiday sets the stage for all that is to follow, at subsequent Thanksgiving get-togethers, things start to spin out of control as cracks continue to open up in the family firmament and the world approaches the brink of financial meltdown.
