A trip to Lovers' Lane is the beginning of a nightmare for 17-year-old Jami, when her date Corey is brutally slain by a masked man in an attack mirroring a series of killings that took place more than a half-century earlier. Barely escaping with her life, Jami becomes obsessed with tracking down the killer and launches an investigation into the Phantom, a serial killer who stalked young lovers in 1946 Texarkana. As the body count mounts and the carnage comes closer, Jami delves deeper into the mystery with the help of the town archivist Nick, following clues she hopes will point her toward the killer's identity.
