The story of the Frieder brothers, Cincinnati businessmen who owned a cigar factory in pre-WWII Manila, and how they helped 1200 Jews escape Nazi Germany and settle in the Philippines. The plan required the help of Manuel Quezon, the Filipino president at the time; Paul McNutt, the U.S. high commissioner of the Philippines; and an Army colonel named Dwight Eisenhower.
