A look at New York City's High School for Contemporary Arts, one of several “small schools” within Evander Childs High School in the Bronx. The documentary follows two students from their freshmen year in 2003 through graduation. Included: one of the students excels in a school play; the other finds an outlet for his emotions in poetry.
