Michael lives alone in a house, though he might also be living in a single room without even a bed frame. All that keeps him together is the ability to crash the drums as hard as he likes after taking a hit. Within the pounding of the drums he can feel the lives he never lived. He goes to pick up his latest baggie from his dealer, who gives him a business card featuring a beautiful woman. She becomes real in Michael's minds eye and begins to control the world within which he inhabits, and tells him to kill his dealer.
