A life-long addict, stuck in the routine of his simple life, escapes his enabling mother's control and ventures into the big city to make amends with his estranged daughter, who in turn must decide whether to believe her father's newly found sobriety or to cut ties inevitably as she is drawn back into the family dysfunction.
