2012- 2015 • Branded/Industrial • CompletedMy name is Michael Hollembeak, I am a film editor with an extensive knowledge of Final Cut Pro X, AVID and DaVINCI Resolve along with a history of using After Effects and Photoshop. I previously worked for a record label called Strange Music which is considered the #1 independent record label in the world. My responsibilities include editing commercials, promotional edits, music videos and short films, as well as, all aspect of production from pre-production, production to post-production. My passion for this industry is shown through my dedication, determination, hard work and organization.
I started as an unpaid intern working for almost a year doing everything I could to learn this industry. Through my passion and determination, I earned a position in this production house. For 3 years, climbing the ranks and become one of the lead editors at the record label.
At the record label I was not only one of the lead editors, I also was an essential asset on set during production. From creative input in preproduction writing or fine tuning treatments to building up jibs, cameras, dollys, video village, steadicams, as well as creative direction. Acting in roles such as PA, Key Grip, Gaffer, Equipment Technician, Treatment Writer, Director, Assistant Editor, Lead Editor and Colorist. I would not call myself a “jack of all trades”, I took the opportunity to learn these qualities as the need presented itself and became an expert in those fields. My passion is film. All aspects of film I love knowing just so I can be apart of the complete production, using my knowledge of these aspects and turn efficiency into my greatest strength.
Creating projects with a small team of over 600 edits accumulating over 360 million views and 841 thousand subscribers in 3 years. Expert in project management with a passion for turning good ideas into inspiring and entertaining videos that draw people from all walks of life. Provided projects for MTV, BET, REVOLT, MTV JAMS, and VH1 as well as commercials for BEST BUY and MONSTER ENERGY. Worked with multiple artist such as T.I., 2 Chainz, B.O.B., TECH N9NE, MYSTIKAL, E-40, ¡MAYDAY!, and Kendrick Lamar providing beautiful visuals for each project.
