Job Description

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage software development managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.

Define team structures, roles, and responsibilities.

Promote a positive, collaborative, and high-performance work culture.

Strategy & Planning:

Develop and execute the software development strategy aligned with company goals.

Manage technology roadmap, prioritizing projects based on business needs and ROI.

Ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of software systems.

Project Oversight:

Oversee software project planning, execution, and delivery schedules.

Ensure adherence to development best practices, coding standards, and QA processes.

Manage budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.

Technical Leadership:

Provide guidance on system architecture, design patterns, and technology choices.

Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve productivity and performance.

Solve complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with product management, UX/UI, operations, and business leaders.

Translate business requirements into technical strategies.

Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to executives and stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive adoption of agile methodologies and continuous delivery practices.

Encourage professional development, training, and knowledge sharing among teams.

Monitor KPIs and metrics to measure team performance and software quality.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

8–15+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience managing multiple software development teams and large-scale projects.

Strong understanding of software architecture, development lifecycle, and modern technologies.

Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies.
