  This is a paid position. Rate is Compensation will be deferred until funding is secured. Although the project is currently in the funding phase, its completion is highly viable given its scope. Equity is also available.

Job Description

Seeking a producer for an independent film to be shot one hour outside of both Richmond and D.C., with pre-production based in New York.

Tasks include assisting in the logistical aspects of the production and assisting in casting key roles. This is a contained production with limited locations and a small cast, so our focus will be on attracting the right talent. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, ensuring we stay on track and support each other throughout the project. While it would be best to be based in NY, being close to the filming location would also be beneficial. The film will have a dialogue-driven, character-based aesthetic (think Linklater or Baumbach). While not essential, a passion for this genre of filmmaking would be advantageous.

This is my second feature film. My first had a festival run and a curated week-long screening in NYC.
