Recently released from prison, Victor Wright has one burning aspiration, to rekindle the lost relationship he once shared with his teenage daughter, Vanessa. But he's self conscious of his appearance and his homelessness, so he connects with her by way of a payphone; his only means of communication. A young teenage runaway, Grace, is also drawn to the payphone after having lost her cell phone. Their worlds collide. Her presence further complicates Victor's life, for good and for worse.
