4 x 5’ documentaries about the prestigious architectural firm Grimshaw and their recent projects in the US. I directed 4 films as part of this series, telling the story of how the New York office of this British firm came to be, what it’s like to work in the New York office, and the story of two of their most recent projects to be completed – the Queens Museum and the West Union building at Duke University in North Carolina. The stories are told through interviews with the key architects, those who commissioned and those who use the buildings, as well as sumptuous visuals that show off the architecture in question to its fullest.
