We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Audit Associate to join our growing assurance team in our New York City, NY office.

Position Overview
As a Junior Audit Associate, you will work closely with senior auditors and managers to examine and analyze financial records, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and verify the accuracy of our clients' financial statements. This is an entry-level position perfect for recent accounting graduates or professionals with early career experience looking to build a solid foundation in public accounting and work toward their CPA license.

Key Responsibilities
Audit Execution: Assist in carrying out audit procedures, including testing internal controls, verifying cash balances, examining inventory, and reviewing financial transactions.

Documentation: Prepare clear, accurate, and well-structured audit working papers and documentation in compliance with firm standards and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).

Financial Analysis: Analyze client financial data, identify variances or inconsistencies, and flag potential issues to senior team members.

Compliance Verification: Ensure client records and financial disclosures comply with US GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant legal or regulatory frameworks.

Client Collaboration: Interact professionally with client accounting staff to gather necessary financial documents, resolve basic queries, and understand business operations.

Team Support: Participate in audit planning meetings, contribute to risk assessments, and assist in drafting final audit reports and management letters.

Role Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA Eligibility: Must meet the 150-credit hour requirement to sit for the CPA exam, or actively pursuing CPA certification.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of US GAAP and auditing standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and familiarity with audit software (e.g., CaseWare, ProSystem fx) is a plus.

Analytical Mindset: Excellent problem-solving skills with high attention to numerical accuracy and detail.

Communication: Strong verbal and written English communication skills for effective teamwork and client interaction.

Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
