
Muller-Ratke LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Marine Oiler to join our dynamic maritime team. This is a critical hands-on role ensuring the efficient, safe, and continuous operation of our vessel's engine room machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Lubrication and Maintenance: Execute routine lubrication and cleaning schedules for all machinery, including engines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
Inspections: Conduct regular rounds and detailed inspections of the engine room, main propulsion systems, and boiler plant, noting and reporting any malfunctions or potential issues to the Engineer level devil
Watch Standing: Stand engine room watches as directed by the Chief Engineer.
Fuel and Oil Management: Assist in bunkering operations, monitor fuel and lube oil levels, and ensure proper sampling and storage.
Cleaning and Safety: Maintain the engine room and associated spaces in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Adhere strictly to all safety and environmental regulations (MARPOL).
Assistance: Work under the direct supervision of the Engineers, assisting with repairs, overhauls, and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Qualifications and Requirements
Certifications:
Minimum Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with the endorsement of Oiler or equivalent rating.
Valid STCW basic training certifications Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities.
Valid Passport (if operating internationally).
Experience: Proven experience working as an Oiler or Wiper on commercial vessels.
Knowledge: Solid practical knowledge of engine room machinery, lubrication points, and preventative maintenance procedures.
Physical: Must be physically fit and able to meet the demanding requirements of maritime work, including lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces and high-temperature environments.
