Job Description

Orange County-based live events production company is currently seeking a Scenic Technical Drafter to join our team. Scenic Technical Drafters work closely with the project management and fabrication teams to produce detailed CAD drawings for various live event productions. Qualified candidates should be detail-oriented, hold strong technical backgrounds, and have the ability to think outside the box or approach problems from a unique perspective.

McNally Enterprises Inc. is a full-service events production company located in the heart of Southern California. We provide production services for over 300 events each year on a local, national, and international level. We utilize and integrate skills across scenic, staging, audio, video, and lighting disciplines to provide a seamless and well-executed production experience for every event. Our production capabilities are recognized throughout the industry, contributing to events such as Comic Con, the Super Bowl, the LA Marathon, Beautycon, E3 Expo, and hundreds of other events, large and small. Job responsibilities are as follows:
-Design, model, and annotate scenic pieces, trade show booths, and stage structures for live event productions.
-Generate client drawings using Autodesk Fusion 360.
-Generate build/construction drawings using Autodesk Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor, or SolidWorks that can be passed onto the fabrication team to begin construction of scenic pieces.
-Communicate with project managers and event concept artists to determine event and design needs.

Candidates should also:
-Have a strong sense of theatrical construction techniques.
-Be able to design with structural stability, safety, and on-site execution in mind.
-Demonstrate creative problem-solving abilities.
-Maintain an efficient and professional workflow with the ability to meet concrete deadlines consistently.
-Be familiar with, or have the ability to develop a familiarity with, live event production equipment.
-Be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Experience:
-AutoCAD: 2 years (Required)
-Computer graphics: 1 year (Preferred)
-SolidWorks: 2 years (Required)
-Drafting: 2 years (Preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $65,000.00 per year
