We are looking for a Director, Digital Marketing, to lead IMAX's digital marketing strategy generating demand and fan engagement for and with our products and services. You will architect and implement non-traditional communications programs using CRM, digital advertising, and digital media, with an expansive reach across all digital channels. In addition, you will collaborate and coordinate with internal teams, including Brand Marketing, Exhibitor Marketing, Film Marketing, International Marketing and Live Event Marketing, to ensure alignment and effectiveness of all digital advertising and communication efforts.

What you'll be doing:

Maximize IMAX exposure and brand value. You will drive and implement innovative digital marketing and media strategies, including but not limited to programs that support key film, live event, and brand advertising campaigns, as well as the execution of original promotions.
Influence and engage. You will provide thought leadership to multiple levels of management in digital marketing and media, including digital and social trends and issues that can impact the IMAX brand. You will conduct ongoing evaluation and research into new tools, resources and applications to enhance digital marketing initiatives.
Lead. You will oversee all aspects of the development of digital marketing communication campaigns. You will partner with multiple teams (e.g. Film Marketing, Exhibition Marketing, etc.) to implement effective campaigns. In partnership with the Digital Products (e.g. website) Team, you will guide and influence company-wide digital marketing efforts by acting as an advocate for the integration of all initiatives across the Company. 
Manage the work. You will mentor and grow an insightful, creative, and enthusiastic social media team while supporting influencer programs across digital marketing and PR organizations. You will provide direction to partner agencies to ensure delivery of objectives within budget and industry-leading execution.
What we're looking for:

The passion. You have a love of blockbuster filmmaking and an interest in how global business trends intersect with popular entertainment and culture. Your passion for the industry goes beyond digital campaigns to include the real-world appreciation for entertainment and fandoms, with a personal and professional understanding of fan-centric mentality and dedication. 
The expertise. You have 8+ years of experience leading digital Marketing Communications programs within consumer goods, technology, or entertainment industries combined with significant digital marketing strategy and leadership experience. You are a strategic, creative and analytical thought leader who can bring impactful, exciting initiatives to the fans. You have exceptional professional communication skills with the ability to adapt and shape your messaging based on deep insights into the target audience. You have experience working with global markets and thinking about scalable benefits and programs that also localize where appropriate. In addition, you have extensive experience thinking about audiences in a segmented way and as a whole, to build out an understanding of consumer behaviors. You can leverage information in a CRM, draw on data and market trends to plan and buy digital media (paid, earned, programmatic, SEM), and design exceptional digital advertising and social media campaigns.
The leadership. You have experience spearheading high-priority initiatives from concept to completion, collaborating across teams with internal and external partners globally to build on ideas and launch messaging. You can gain the trust of and influence executive decision-makers. You can inspire and guide the work of a team, providing insights and mentorship to elevate individual performance and group effectiveness.
