Job Description

MAVTV Motorsports Network is seeking an Associate Producer to manage pre-production, production, and post production as it pertains to LIVE and post production motorsports produced by MAVTV. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the broader sports media landscape and can bring added value and best practices to the team. This person must have experience leading teams, who are responsible for creating content to engage viewers, market live events and tell compelling stories through sport and entertainment.

As an Associate Producer for MAVTV and Lucas Oil Products, you will:
Be part of a growing television network and team
Coordinate production efforts for show editors to ensure quality and timeliness of deliveries to MAVTV, MAVTV Select and MAVTV Plus
Work with travel and production staffing team to select 1099 contractors for events
Approve production books
Develop and implement format and workflow for on-site productions
Develop the financial and design aspects of a production
Produce live interview segments, day-of-air tape, and occasional feature packages
Oversee the production process including choreography, performances, and lighting
Manage and contribute to the post-production process including quality control of a performance’s overall tone, music selection, editing and special effects
Ensuring a project stays within budget and on schedule
Work cross-functionally with different departments and personnel
Act as the final sign off as quality control before programs are delivered to the network for air

Required qualifications:
2+ years of professional experience as an Associate Producer
Motorsports knowledge is a bonus
Able to take ownership in a fast paced, high intensity, creative environment and effectively interact with multiple editors and producers,
Demonstrated quality project management skills and the ability to multitask
Must have a keen eye in the field, edit room, and possess a strong mastery of visual graphics and elements
Able to stay calm under pressure and have the aptitude to make quick, quality decisions
Superior verbal and written communication skills and ability to navigate a cross-functional environment
Must have a strong sense of professionalism and must take pride in work
Able to work independently or as part of a team
Strong prioritization and organization skills are non-negotiable, as well as solid attention to detail
Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Word and Excel
Able to work nights and weekends.
