Job Description

We are a full-service Stop Motion Animation Studio currently looking for a talented Technical Director to help maintain our production pipeline, assist in supporting our production needs, renderfarm management and creating software/scripts tools to facilitate daily operations. Additionally interest and experience with 3D printing, photogrammetry VR toolsets is a plus.

Responsibilities
•Work with artists, leads, and supervisors to undertand day-to-day workflow needs
•Help develop and implement work-from-home solutions for multiple departments during COVID
•Collaborating with Head of Production, Producers, Directors, Artists to identify and design workflow
•Develop and maintain Animation and Pipeline Tools for Thinkbox Deadline, After Effects, and Maya + V-Ray
•Modification and maintenance of existing tools to suit the needs of the studio, projects, and artists
•Develop and integrated tools for Shotgun Toolkit in a Multi-OS Multi Client environment
•Provide technical support, troubleshoot artist tools and manage expectations
•View production systems holistically and visualize the larger pipeline while understanding the impact of their actions
•Sudo-network administration - creating workstation images for optimal workflows, keeping systems tuned and updated
•Experience with GSuite for enterprise
•Management of workstations via services like Kandji, Kolide, or Fleetsmith a plus
•Unreal Engine a plus
•3-D Printing experience a plus
•Photogrammerty experience a plus
•Virtual Reality toolset experience a plus

QUALIFICATIONS;
•Thorough understanding of VFX and/or Animation production and pipeline development practices
•Excellent problem-solving skills
•Ability to be a self-starter and solid work ethic
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Art, other related field or equivalent work experience
•2+ years working in a production environment
•Strong knowledge in Shotgun Toolkit, Python, and Qt (or similar)
•Experience with a variety of commercial graphics applications such as, Maya, Nuke and GI renderers such as V-Ray or Amold. Cloud rendering a plus.
•High level of proficiency developing software
•Ability to handle multiple priorities at once
•Excellent communication and documentation skills
