Job Description

Established Vancouver BC Documentary Film Production company is looking for a ASSISTANT EDITOR to work FULL TIME on their new blue chip Natural History series. The contract work starts NOW for a period of 40 weeks. Ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years of experience working with industry standard post production workflows using AVID and RESOLVE. The job includes cataloguing and verifying incoming media, creating proxies using RESOLVE and setting up the proxies for AVID editing all the while communicating with the production company in Bristol, England. Good knowledge of SHOT PUT PRO and/or YOYOTTA will be helpful.

Hands on verifiable experience and references are a must. Great opportunity to get on the ground floor in editing documentary in a small group of leading craftspeople using the best tools available.
