Job Description

Keywords Studios is a premier international service provider to the global video game industry and beyond. Sound Lab, a Keywords Studio, specializes in audio services including post-production, sound design, mixing and mastering for the media & entertainment industry, as well as games, special venues, and immersive media (AR/VR/MR).

The Opportunity
Sound Lab is seeking a Project Manager to support its film, television, streaming, and gaming team in various capacities for multiple shows and interactive media projects in production. As a Project
Manager, you will have the chance to collaborate with some of the most innovative video game and entertainment companies in the world and be critical to our success—and to theirs.

This is a full-time position reporting to Sound Lab’s senior producer.

What You'll Do:
• Manage creative resource assignments and maintain project scheduling calendar
• Enter and track all project financial data, including project budgets and A/P data
• Process weekly production time cards for project staff, liaising with Finance & Payroll
• Ensure proper record keeping and filing of all documents related to project work
• Issue client invoices in accordance with the MSA, SOW, and established project milestones
• Assist project teams in quickly resolving any and all roadblocks to production
• Provide studio leadership visibility on project progress, finances, and potential risks
• Proactively mitigate production risks and ensure high-quality, on-time, on-budget delivery
• Facilitate recruiting and on-boarding of freelance project creative staff
• Provide guidance and oversight to freelance project staff regarding general company procedures, policies, and workflows

What You Bring:
• 4-6 years of project and management and budgeting experience in entertainment
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and multitasking skills
• Entertainment industry payroll experience
• Microsoft Office skills, including familiarity with Outlook and advanced Excel skills
• Extreme attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Comfort working in a rapid-paced, startup-like environment
• Servant leadership mindset and willingness to roll up sleeves and help teams out as needed

Pluses:
• Production accounting experience
• Deep knowledge of IATSE union rules and payroll procedures
• Specific experience with sound design and/or audio post production services
• A strong audio post production and sound design network
