Our aim is to shed light on this growing problem.
By giving each individual a moment to show the world that the homeless community isn't a singular mass of hopelessness but instead a community of vibrant individuals, each with their own hopes and stories.
In short, we interview and photograph the homeless population of LA.
We're looking for 2-3 production assistants.
While this is paid, and you will be fed, this isn't a large, lavish project.
This is a very lean, scrappy, self-funded documentary project.
PA responsibilities:
- setting up backdrops, c-stands and flags
- minor crowd control/keep the set running
- getting releases signed.
Note: we shoot in the heart of Skid Row (DTLA). While it can often be intimidating at first, we've found the community there to be hugely welcoming and responsive. That said, we understand the location might be a deal breaker for many people.
