VICE is looking for a television Production Manager or Line Producer with live studio television experience to oversee physical studio production activities.
Specific duties include (but are not limited to):
- Manage & forecast series production budget
- Maintain running actuals, perform regular cost reporting with project accountant and network EIC
- Identify, hire and supervise project-based employees
- Facilitate all crew start paperwork, approve daily and weekly timesheets
- Generate production calendars and daily call sheets
- Liaise with legal affairs, S&P, finance, rights & clearances and human resources departments
- Approve and track all purchase orders, petty cash, expense reports, p-card and invoice payments
- Oversee daily, weekly and end-of-show network deliverables
- Solicit competitive bids and negotiate favorable deals with vendors and third parties
- Negotiate and collect appearance and location releases for guests and on location shoots
- Create and track pay schedules for contract-based staff
- Develop and create documents, workflow and systems in response to production, series and department needs
- Communicate regularly with studio manager about all schedule, technical and personnel needs
- Are knowledgeable of new technologies/formats that would impact production
- Are proficient in budgeting and cost tracking software
- Are proficient with Movie Magic Budgeting.
- Are experienced in live, studio environments
- Are experienced with up-to-the-minute news production
