Job Description

Looking for an experienced, visually creative and collaboratively thinking Director of Photography for an upcoming shoot of a dramatic short film. This person should have expertise in camera work, lighting equipment and art direction. Ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive team player, positive thinker, effective communicator and an individual with good judgment and initiative who is able to pivot when necessary. Must share a strong emphasis on organization and unwavering attention to detail at all times. The qualified individual must be able to shoot, help select camera placement, determine the appropriate lenses, edit, stay on budget and work within pre-established shooting schedule.

We prefer that the candidate skilled in operating both Sony Mirrorless Cameras (Sony Alpha A7 and Sony Alpha A7sii) and Canon DSLR Cameras (Canon 6D and Canon 70D).

Tentative shooting schedule is currently between December 6th and December 12th, 2018 and will take place in two locations (either in Brooklyn, Manhattan and/or Bronx).

As of now, this is an unpaid position, however, we are willing to negotiate financial compensation. Upon the completion of Post-Production, both credit for work on the film as well as a copy of the Final Cut will be given. We plan to enter this film into several festivals next year, so this is a wonderful opportunity for anyone wishing to further their career. Transportation, craft services, and any other necessary amenities will be provided on shooting days.
