BRON Animation Inc. is on the look out for a bright, highly organized and resourceful Junior Production Accountant to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will be expected to integrate into established systems and programs, but must also be excited by the opportunity to develop new processes, and grow with the company. Clear communication skills, a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility are among the candidate’s most desired traits.
Duties & Responsibilities
Match invoices to purchase orders & audit the information for discrepancies;
Code invoices per purchase orders and/or production budgets;
Data entry of all invoices and purchase orders;
Seek approval for invoices, purchase orders, and associated audit reports;
Run cheques, requisition signatures, and order wire payments;
File and scan A/P backup;
Prepare and submit GST/HST remittances;
Perform monthly bank reconciliations;
Process bi-weekly payroll runs;
Prepare journal entries, and execute data entry once approved; and,
Prepare cost reports, and work with the Producer/Line Producer to adjust ETCs/EFCs as needed.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Excel and Word is required;
Experience with Powerpay Plus (Ceridian) an asset;
English fluency is required;
Applicants must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment;
While knowledge of the accounting programs and processes established by Entertainment Partners is advantageous, it is not required. Bron is happy to consider qualified individuals who are interested in learning these programs, and who identify as fast learners;
Ideal for candidates seeking to pursue their CPA designation;
Must be a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident;
