Job Description

Overview
• Working in a fast-paced post production company
• Assist Flame and Avid Editors in all aspects of conforming and finishing long form, episodic television shows per the delivery and broadcast requirements of the various network and production companies.
• This is a late swing / overnight position.

Responsibilities
• Set up Flame projects and assemble source materials for edit sessions per supplied offline aaf’s, including digitizing from tapes, relinking to and transcoding file based sources, and prepping the project for online sessions.
• Scope knowledge and understanding
o Video signal broadcast legalities
o Waveform signal comprehension
• Possess outstanding HD, UHD, 4K and HDR workflow understanding
• Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be organized, efficient, and accurate under pressure.
• Publish or export files needed for final Color Correction
• Daily communication with Flame Editors and In-House Producers about the status of each project and any problems or anomalies.
• Troubleshoot workflow and technical problems.
• Diligence in ensuring accuracy and quality of work.

General Requirements
• Must be familiar and comfortable with HD, UHD, 4K, and Dolby Vision HDR workflows
• 2-3 years of Flame experience in an online or finishing setting.
• Knowledge of various tape and file based formats and workflows.
• Must be a self-starter and work well in a team environment.
