I, as the director of Gastronaut Media, a newly established creative content company, recently shot 5.5 hours of 4k iPhoneX footage w/ independent audio in Singapore and Taiwan for a web series exploring the intersection of the Chinese language and food. I have no editing experience and am looking for someone to help me go from raw footage + audio to finished multi-part web series for distribution via YouTube, my website/blog, Facebook, and other online media.
Shooting took place at 12 locations, six in Singapore and six in Taiwan, which I've paired into six chunks, each with a Singapore and Taiwan component. Roughly half of the footage is of myself monologuing about various linguistic/culinary issues while eating, and roughly half is comprised of 80 micro-interviews with friends of mine discussing their connections to Chinese language and food.
My stylistic vision is funky/irreverent, aka I'm looking for an editor who can help me create a highly original look and feel with, say, bursts of color and sound, unexpected transitions, etc... aka, I'm looking to create videos that appeal to the same demographic as entries from Eater, Munchies, Vox, Great Big Story, etc.
