Job Description

We are looking for experienced, quality-focused transcribers in the area of post-production.

We have continuing positions with flexible hours.

Work from the comfort of your own home as an independent contractor, hired on a project-to-project basis.. You should reside in the U.S. or Canada.

Weekenders are needed: Thursday, Friday, Saturdays.

DT prefers to hire from within. Successful transcribers will have room for advancement in CCSL transcription as well as As-Broadcast files and/or Quality Control.

The Ideal Candidate will have the ability to:
-communicate on a daily basis with the Project Manager,
-check and respond to emails daily and in an efficient manner,
-transcribe multi-speakers, verbatim, accurately even with background noise and overlapping conversations,
-type 60 wpm,
-accept difficult files as well as the easier files,
-use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation,
-read, understand and follow the instructions and style guide for each assignment,
-type and proof your transcripts to 98% accuracy,
-be available for 24 turnaround times
-use MS Word proficiently

You will need access to high-speed internet, a reliable computer that has the ability to run a transcription program and upload and download multiple files, a pair of noise-reduction headphones, Express Scribe or equivalent transcription software, Microsoft Word.

You will be asked to take a Skills Assessment Test and to complete a 4-minute transcription evaluation to be considered for onboarding.
