Job Description

We are seeking full-time and part-time instructors of VFX Compositing.
Exceptional Minds is a nonprofit vocational school and working studio that prepares young adults on the autism spectrum for careers in digital arts and animation. The organization has gained acclaim and notoriety as the graduates have gone on to work for companies such as Marvel Studios and Cartoon Network as well as in the in-house studio, have credits on Games of Thrones, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok.

To train these artists, we are looking for educators with the following experience:

Required VFX Compositing Experience:
● Nuke/NukeX interface and tools
● Adobe After Effects interface and tools
● Split Screen Composites
● Object Removal (Markers, Blemishes, Wires, Set Pieces, etc)
● Rotoscoping
● Keying
● 2D Compositing

Educational Experience:
● Classroom Instruction
● One-on-one Tutoring
● Lesson Plan Development

Preferred Experience:
● Professional Film/Television VFX Compositing credits as an Artist or Supervisor
● Professional or Volunteer Teaching of Individuals with Special Needs

Salary: $20-30 an hour, based on experience

Start Date: January 2018
