Job Description

General Population (GenPop), the multi-platform media vertical focused on culture, film, motion, art and technology is looking for an experienced Freelance Video Editor to work with our editing short form videos for a multi-platform distribution. The position is based in our West Los Angeles office. Potential applicants must be design-savvy, level-headed, personable and have experience and a passion for short form content.

Responsibilities:

+ Maintain several ongoing projects at once
+ Offering creative support to our writing staff
+ Quickly assemble edits and implement notes from producers and writers
+ Conducting research and pull reference footage for potential projects

Requirements:

+ Applicants should only apply if they have 2+ years experience with editing digital content.
+ Must be extremely proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro
+ Knowledge producing content end-to-end in Premiere including: Assembly & Editorial, Audio Mixing and Color Correcting
+ Knowledge of Photoshop, Audition, and After Effects a plus
+ Extremely knowledgeable about social platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat
+ Interest in Design, Animation, Film, Art & Technology
+ Great at implementing feedback
+ Excellent organizational and communication skills
+ Experienced in deadline driven environment and internet video
