Job Description

This is a full time role in New York, NY.

SUMMARY

Audio Visual (AV) Specialist to support our Corporate Communications and Events team by planning and managing all aspects of AV for significant internal events, such as town halls and webcasts, as well as high-profile external customer, prospect, and shareholder events.

As an AV Specialist, you will identify AV requirements, schedule AV for the events, provide detailed technical guidance to end users and vendors, and coordinate technical logistics with Corporate Communications, Events, Technology, site contacts, and other end users as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead AV execution for the Corporate Communications and Events teams by planning, testing, and implementing all aspects of AV in relation to live and webcast events.
Coordinate and oversee quarterly conference calls, which are broadcast internally and publicly.
Manage external AV vendors as necessary and partner with the internal Technology team for events and projects requiring AV management.
Create and maintain event-specific run of show (ROS) documents to capture AV capabilities, requirements, special considerations (e.g., acoustics, lighting, bandwidth, etc.), and preferred local vendors.
Capture photos, video, and/or audio during events. Process and edit content, and produce internal videos.
Coordinate and manage testing of local and remote video connections and web streaming, and troubleshoot technical issues.
Stay current on trends and innovations in the AV space, and make recommendations accordingly.
Cultivate an understanding of the basic overall business objectives of the events, and decipher needs to identify AV solutions accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and / or 4+ years of experience in the AV field within a corporate environment.
Knowledge of / experience in using equipment and applications, such as:
Cisco TelePresence / Tanberg; Webex Events Center; Show and Share
VTC endpoints (camera, microphone, codec)
AMX touch panels and AMX video switchers
Audio mixers
Wireless / lapel microphones and room control (lights, audio systems, etc.)
Digital SLRs
Video and photo editing / production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; Apple Final Cut Pro, Motion, etc.)
Projectors, projector screens, flat panel TVs, and monitors
Digital signal processing – H264
Familiarity with basic networking, PCs and/or Macs, MS Office.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and process driven.
Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., executive staff, vendors, and internal partners).
Must exercise good judgment and demonstrate professionalism (reliability, appearance, and dependability).
Friendly and positive demeanor; team player who enjoys interacting with people.
Ability to travel frequently.
Self-motivated with strong time and project management skills.
Proven track record of meeting tight deadlines under pressure.
